OUR LEADERSHIP
meet pastor blake

After being married in the summer of 2012, Pastor Blake and his wife, Candace, moved to Pittsburgh in June of 2013 to be a part of another church plant now known as Reclamation Church Monroeville. They served as volunteers in that church for seven years before Blake came on staff as Director of Communications and Production in May of 2020.
After a couple of years, Blake began to discern that God was calling him to pastoral ministry and, particularly, church planting. A year later his calling was confirmed by the Elders of Reclamation Church, and he was ordained in December of 2024. Soon after, he was endorsed as a church planter through Send Network and Great Commission Collective and began training to become a church planter.
Today, Blake lives in the neighborhood of Squirrel Hill on the East End of Pittsburgh with his wife and two children, Keller and Cooper. They love the neighborhood to which they have been called and all agree that there is simply nothing better than evening walks around the neighborhood. Blake and Candace love making music together and vegging out with one another after the kids go to bed.
elders of king's cross
King's Cross holds to a firm conviction that church leadership belongs to a plurality, and so even in the planting stage we want to pursue the accountability and wisdom that comes with a plurality of leaders. Therefore, the Elders of Reclamation Church Monroeville, the sending church of King's Cross, serve as provisional Elders until King's Cross is able to appoint her own Elders from within.
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
