OUR STORY
humble beginnings
In September of 2025, eight people from Reclamation Church Monroeville began meeting together to experience community, study the Bible, and pray together. As this group sought God and what He wanted to do in the city of Pittsburgh, a vision began to materialize of establishing a new church rooted in the good news of Jesus Christ, committed to the authority of Scripture, devoted to making disciples, and eager to serve the city with humility and love.
That vision – King's Cross Church.
Today, we are in the early stages of planting and development. We gather regularly at Steel City Church in Greenfield to share life together, study God's Word, pray for one another, and seek the Lord's direction for the future. These gatherings are helping lay the foundation for a church community that we hope will serve Pittsburgh for generations to come.
Eventually, it is our aim to have a space in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The largest of all neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, Squirrel Hill is home to a diverse blend of nearly 30,000 people. Furthermore, this beautiful neighborhood lies on the doorstep of major universities like University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. We just see in this neighborhood a unique potential to not only reach the city of Pittsburgh, but the ends of the earth as the gospel advances.
Our prayer is simple: that God would establish a church where people encounter Jesus, grow as His disciples, experience authentic community, and are sent out to live as faithful witnesses in their neighborhoods, their city, and beyond – we would love for you to be part of that story, also.
